Las hemosferas microporosas de polisacáridos permiten la hemostasia rápida y eficaz.

Se degrada más rápidamente que el Surgicel, Avitene y Floseal (Ereth et al. 2011).

La ventaja más importante es su rápida eliminación del campo quirúrgico y por lo tanto tiene el potencial de causar menos artefactos en imágenes postoperatorias (Emmez et al. 2010).

En una pequeña serie de casos, no se encontraron reacciones adversas (Tschan et al. 2011).
